A: In couples therapy, I use CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy) and Attachment-Based principles and techniques to identify the challenges that may be interfering with mutual respect and intimacy. These may include infidelity, childhood or past relationship traumas, attachment styles, financial stress, communication difficulties, and family of origin issues. Once there is a mutual understanding of what is preventing each partner from feeling seen, heard, and understood, we work together to set boundaries and implement practices that nourish and strengthen the relationship.
